Béatrice Hofer-Gysin
Béatrice Hofer-Gysin was born in Thun in 1946. She completed a course in drawing and design under Gottfried Tritten at the Staatliches Seminar in Thun in 1962, and then trained as a primary school teacher. In the 1970s and 1980s she completed many additional courses on art and taught for twenty years (1990–2010) at the Thuner Malschule [Thun Art School]. She was always active as an artist and exhibited at various institutions. In Thun, she was also a member of the Kommission für bildende Künste [Fine Arts Commission] from 2005 to 2008. Hofer-Gysin died in Thun in 2016.
