To mark World Mental Health Day, the ‘Slow Looking’ approach will be used to focus attention on details and fragments. Under the guidance of Corinne Ippoliti (art therapist), participants will create collages that can be incorporated into everyday life.

Inspired by the peep-box objects, we’ll build our own little models using everyday materials. What world, what scene would you like to show in your peep-box? After a short tour of the exhibition, the group will walk (approx. 20 minutes) to the Kunstküche (the art education studio next to the Thun Art Museum) for the workshop.

Bern-based musician Mich Gerber and his double bass create atmospheric soundscapes that lie somewhere between dreams and longing.

Marquard Wochers’ panoramic painting depicts Thun in early summer, the time of year when most people travelled. But what was it like here in winter, before winter sports and the charm of mountain huts became popular? How were people kept warm? What about street lighting? These and other questions are the focus of this guided tour.

A staged reading of the correspondence between Rudolf de Crignis (1948–2006) and Hans Gerber and Hans Walter (1912–1992). Featuring the actors Bodo Krumwiede and Samuel Streiff, as well as the editors of the correspondence, Juerg Nutz and Peter Volkart.

To mark the end of the exhibition, Gwendolyn Masin (artistic director of the GAIA Music Festival) and Sabine Hertig invite you to a musical tour. The GAIA Chamber Orchestra will perform Caroline Shaw’s ‘Entr’acte’ and excerpts from Schubert’s ‘Death and the Maiden’, thus bringing the collage of visual worlds and music to a close.
