Visiting with children
InhaltCHILDREN’S OPENING
A workshop is held for children in parallel with each exhibition opening. A selected theme from the exhibition leads children on a voyage of discovery through the museum galleries, after which they can playfully and creatively process what they have seen and experienced back in the studio (Kunstküche). For unaccompanied children 5 or over.
The event is free of charge.
Duration: 1 hour
GUIDED TOUR
A tour that brings generations together in every exhibition, for children, families, friends and acquaintances of all ages. This playful tour of the current exhibition appeals to all the senses and concludes with a creative workshop session in the museum.
Cost: Admission (valid for the whole day).
Dates: On various Sundays from 10–11.30 a.m. or from 3–4.30 p.m. (exact dates here: Agenda)

OPEN STUDIO
The Open Studio is aimed at adults and young people aged 15 and over. In this creative workshop, participants can get hands-on whilst exploring the museum’s current exhibitions. The event is led by the museum’s art education team or by experienced artists.
To begin with, there is an opportunity to visit the current exhibition. This provides interesting insights and valuable information about the artworks on display and the artists. In the workshop that follows, participants can creatively express the impressions they have gained. Under guidance, they will create their own individual artworks, inspired by the exhibition and their own ideas.
Dates: the third Wednesday evening of each month from 6 pm to 8 pm (Agenda)
Cost: Admission + CHF 10 (Kulturlegi/IV card holders: CHF 5)

Open Studio for children
A discovery tour of the exhibitions at the Kunstmuseum Thun, featuring fun and games, followed by a creative workshop in the art education studio.
For children aged 5 and over.
Sessions take place on various Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. (See the Agenda for exact dates.)
Cost: CHF 5 per child.
Group size: max. 12.

HOLIDAY PASS
Every year during the summer holidays, we take part in the Thun Holiday Pass scheme! For the full five weeks, children and accompanying adults can enjoy free entry to the Thun Art Museum and the Thun Panorama on presentation of the Holiday Pass, as well as a puzzle booklet (Discovery Tour / Panoramania).
For each Holiday Pass, we offer a range of free workshops for children, which can be booked directly via the Holiday Pass.
