With the exhibition ‘Susan Hefuna – Bharti Kher – Fred Tomaselli: Between Worlds’, the Kunstmuseum Thun brings together three artists who repeatedly draw on cultural, traditional or religious references in their work. Susan Hefuna, Bharti Kher and Fred Tomaselli all play with charged materials and codes, arranging them on the picture plane to form engaging structures and patterns, thereby placing them in new contexts. The moment of transition, the oscillation between this world and the next, the inside and the outside, the local and the global, plays a central role in this. Through the use of techniques such as carving, gluing or weaving, the three artists also reflect on questions concerning the relationship between art and craft.

The Kunstmuseum Thun is the first Swiss institution to present major groups of works by these three internationally renowned artists.
