Aeschlimann Corti-Scholarship
Every year, the Bern Art Society announces the Louise Aeschlimann and Margareta Corti Scholarship. The largest private scholarship for visual artists in Switzerland, which has been awarded since 1942, has a total prize money of CHF 50,000 at its disposal.
Winners of the grant include artists such as Balthasar Burkhard, Franz Gertsch, and Bernhard Luginbühl, as well as younger artists such as Peter Aerschmann, Julia Steiner, Livia Di Giovanna, and Zimoun.
The Aeschlimann Corti Scholarship Competition, which is linked to an exhibition, is open to artists who have been resident in the Canton of Bern for at least one year or who are entitled to reside in the Canton of Bern. The age limit is set at forty years.
