Rittiner & Gomez

Anton Rittiner was born in Simplon Dorf in 1960. Between 1977 and 1981 he completed an apprenticeship as a set designer and started working as a freelance artist in 1981 . He continued his education by taking various courses at the Schule für Gestaltung [School of Design] in Bern and at the adult education centre. Since 2000 he has been working under the stage name Rittiner & Gomez. He has been showing his works in solo and group exhibitions since 1993. He has received various awards for his art since the mid-1990s, including the Kulturpreis Spiez [Spiez Cultural Prize] in 2018. In 2002, 2011 and 2017, he worked on several Kunst am Bau [Percent for Art] projects in Frutigen and Spiez. He lives and works in Einigen.
