Reto Leibundgut
Reto Leibundgut was born in Büren zum Hof in 1966. From 1983 to 1987 he was an apprentice set designer at Loeb’s department store in Thun. From 1996 to 1999 he attended the further education class Freie Kunst [liberal arts] at the Kunstgewerbeschule [School of Arts and Crafts] in Bern. Since 1999 he has taken part in group exhibitions, such as the “Next Stop” exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Thun. He has received numerous awards and prizes, as well as studio scholarships in Cairo, New York and Berlin, and a grant from the Kunstkredit of the city of Basel. He lives in Basel and works in Hégenheim (France).
