Regula Hadorn was born in 1945 in Murten. She grew up in Thun and attended the local teacher-training college where she was taught by, among others, Gottfried Tritten. She then worked as a primary-school teacher in Oberdiessbach. She started to show her works at regional exhibitions in 1972, and regularly took part in the Christmas exhibitions at the Kunstmuseum Thun. Hadorn was involved in cultural policy. In the 1980s and 1990s she was a member of the City of Thun Art Commission, the Cantonal Commission for Art and Architecture, the jury of the Atuprix Architecture Prize, and a member of the board of Thun Art Society. Hadorn died in Boltingen in 2017.
