Mirjam Helfenberger was born in Lausanne in 1961. She graduated from the Schule für Gestaltung [School of Design] in Bern in the 1980s and enrolled at Bern University of the Arts [HKB] in 1997. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including exhibitions at the Kunstmuseum Thun. In 2007, she received the Atelierstipendium für Berlin [Berlin studio scholarship] from the city of Thun. She has had a place at the Atelierhaus in Thun since 2009 and currently works in Thun and Guggisberg.
