Marco Giacomoni
Marco Giacomoni was born in Solothurn in 1971. Between 1987 and 1991 he completed an apprenticeship as an electronics engineer. He then embarked on an extended trip to Asia before enrolling on a course at the Schule für Gestaltung [School of Design] in Biel and Basel. In 1999 Giacomoni founded an interior design company and moved to the canton of Bern. From 2000 to 2001 he was exhibitions manager at the Künstlerhaus S11 gallery in Solothurn. From 2001 he worked as a technician for a few years at the Kunstmuseum Thun. Giacomoni shows his works in numerous exhibitions, and regularly takes part in the Christmas exhibition in Thun and Solothurn. In 2006 he was awarded a grant from the canton of Solothurn. He lives and works in Biel.
