Klaudia Schifferle was born in Zurich in 1955. From 1973 to 1976 she attended the F+F Schule für experimentelle Gestaltung [F+F school for experimental design]. She started showing her works in solo and group exhibitions in 1977. She has received many scholarships and prizes: from the City of Zurich in 1975, the Kiefer Hablitzel Scholarship in 1982, the Prize of the Zürcher Kunstgesellschaft in 1988, and the Art Prize of the City of Zurich in 2012. In 1978, she co-founded the women’s band Kleenex/Liliput and has given over 100 concerts. In the late 1980s, she lived and worked in Milan. She lived in Ticino between 1991 and 2002. Schifferle lives and works in Zurich.
