Diana Dodson was born in Zurich in 1963. She studied art history at the university and in 1994 enrolled at the Berner Hochschule für Gestaltung [Bern School of Design] to train as an art teacher. She has been working as a freelance artist since 2001. She also teaches at various art schools, including painting at the F+F school of art and design in Zurich. She lives in Basel and works in Hégenheim (France).
